Do you need planning permission for a new bathroom?
If you are remodelling an existing bathroom, you do not normally require planning permission, unless the building is listed. If the bathroom is part of an extension, or are changing the purpose of a current room planning permission is required.
If you are unsure, we recommend contacting your local council or a chartered building surveyor. They will be able to answer any questions you may have and will provide you with expert advice.
