Timeless Wetroom with Fluted Glass
When our clients purchased a new property on Portland, they were met with the challenge of renovating a tired and rather utilitarian space. The previous owners had converted the room into a functional, yet pretty uninspiring wetroom for a family member with limited movement, complete with safety flooring and accessible fixtures. Our mission? To breathe new life into this room, balancing style and functionality while being mindful of costs amidst the broader renovation project of the entire property.
Our Senior Design Consultant, Sue, meticulously crafted this modern revamp of an otherwise tired bathroom – all whilst ensuring that the bathroom mirrored our client’s vision and practical requirements. This wetroom was expertly brought to life by the skilled hands of Matt Fox, who is one of our trusted bathroom installers in Dorset.
Tired Bathroom to Modern Wetroom
With careful consideration, the New Image tea took on the exciting challenge to reimagine the bathroom that better suited our clients. Understanding the importance of balancing practicality and aesthetics, we selected Benita Indigo Ash fitted bathroom furniture, which we complemented by a sleek gloss white laminate worktop. This choice not only maximised storage capacity within an otherwise small bathroom, but also added a touch of contemporary elegance to the room.
In order to keep costs low, we opted for strategic tiling by focusing only on essential areas such as within the shower enclosure and behind the basin. Using Verse White 300mm x 600mm tiles on the walls and matching 600mm x 600mm tiles on the floor, we used minimal numbers of tiles and achieved a harmonious balance of functionality and visual appeal while optimising cost-efficiency!
To enhance the shower, we supplied our clients with an Aqualisia electric shower, which is modern whilst still being incredibly hardwearing. We think that the addition of fluted wetroom glass also adds a sophisticated touch to the overall aesthetic of our client’s bathroom!
