Victorian tiles are known for their intricate and ornate designs, reminiscent of the Victorian era. They can create a grand entrance to your property, use them in your porch, foyer, or hallway.
Inspired by Gothic-style churches, castles, and early medieval encaustic tiles, Victorian tiles became fashionable in the mid-19th century. Their popularity was boosted by the start of mass production, which made these intricate tiles more widely available and accessible to homeowners.
The use of Victorian tiles in homes during this period displayed their elegance and sophistication, making them a popular choice for flooring and wall treatments in Victorian, Georgian, and Edwardian-era homes. This widespread use of Victorian tiles has contributed to their enduring appeal and the continued demand for their timeless designs.
The Salisbury Green on Buff features a complex pattern on a mid-beige base colour. The pattern features an earthy green colour, a terracotta red, along with a mid-brown and cream in the smaller decorative sections.
