To combat this problem, bathroom manufacturers have created short projection toilets. This compact solution is great for downstairs toilets, cloakrooms and ensuites.

What is a Short Projection Toilet?

Short projection toilets are specially designed to take up less space than a traditional WC. They have a small surface area and are ideal for bathrooms with limited room to manoeuvre.

A short projection pan usually ranges from about 590 to 610mm projection for a close coupled pan, or 495 – 515mm for wall hung or back to wall pan. This means they do not protrude into the room as much, which allows you to maximise the available space.

Despite their reduced size, short project toilets do not compromise on comfort or functionality.

Cedarwood Short Projection WC

The Cedarwood range has been designed with small bathrooms in mind. The close coupled toilet has a depth of 600mm and does not protrude into the room as much as its standard counterpart. There is a dual push button flush. Slim and wrapover soft close seats are available.

Lily Short Projection WC

The Lily range is one of our favourites from leading manufacturer, ‘Bathrooms to Love’. The soft lines make it incredibly versatile and well suited to a range of interior design styles.

The short projection Lily toilet is rimless, which means it has powerful jets that help propel water around the bowl, without the need for a rim. Not having a rim reduces the number of places that can harbour bacteria or dust. Rimless toilets are more hygienic and easier to keep clean.
